Really?...Ummmm.......gross.

I need to preface my remarks by saying that I was exhausted for a bunch of the day yesterday. When I am tired, I am less coherent.

On Sunday S. was showing me her loose tooth. I didn't think it was very loose and I thought it would take at least 2 weeks to come out.

Yesterday morning S. mentioned that her mouth hurt where her loose tooth was. I told her that she could have tylenol if she wanted. In the meantime, we dropped K. off at the bus stop and came home. Within 5-10 minutes, S. told me she didn't need tylenol.

When I finally understood what she was saying (I told you I was tired and less coherent!), I asked "Why?" to which she replied, "Because my tooth fell out!" Boy was I surprised!!

I dutifully took the tooth and put it in a ziploc bag and put it on the kitchen shelf.

As we were running behind yesterday, I was dashing around trying to get things done. Everything was finally accomplished and off they went to school.

After they were on the bus and I was home, I did a bit of cleaning. I knew I needed to put her tooth in a safe place so she could show Wayne and then put it under her pillow last night. Well...I couldn't find it! I looked on the counters, on the island, in the living room, and I even thought that in my stupor I may have thrown it away, so I looked in the garbage (not too far down though!). Nope, not there either.

Hmmmm...I didn't know where else to look so I temporarily gave up.

Fast forward to the S. coming home. - S. told me that I had put her sandwich in the ziploc with her tooth!

I felt horrible and with a cringe asked, "Did you eat the sandwich?" (Now, I totally would not have blamed her if she didn't and I know many people who wouldn't have.) She said that she ate most of it.

While I felt happy that she had not gone hungry, I felt bad that I had put her sandwich in with her tooth.

Thankfully today I am feeling much more rested. :)
