Well, we went to the pool yesterday. The kids have gotten so much more comfortable in the water! K is doing loads of handstands! She does them very well, with pointed toe and everything. She has also increased her lung capacity as is evidenced by her ability to stay under water longer.
S. got up the nerve yesterday to put her entire head under the water! She would go under and walk around. That was cool.
J. had a scary moment yesterday in the pool, but he is excited to go back to the pool shortly!
Anyway, FHE was great last night. We cut out pictures out of the Ensign and maybe the Friend. The Ensign has such beautiful pictures! We were going to hang them in the kids room, but after hanging 2 we ran out of tape! So today we will be off to the store to buy some. Then all of these beautiful pictures can go up!
I have thought a lot about the importance of having uplifting art in the kids bedrooms, however I'm sad to say that it took me a long time to finally work on it. I have told the kids that we can put them in a folder so that don't get ruined on our trip back and when we get back to NY we can buy frames and hang them in their bedrooms. They were very happy about that.

HOT!!
Ok, so we are very blessed and have central air. We don't even notice the heat here as much as when we are home because of the central air. However, there are times when it is necessary to go outdoors. Yesterday when I got out of the vehicle to go into church, my glasses fogged up! They did it again when I left the building to go into the vehicle. WACKY!

Ch-ch-ch-changes!
Before we left the girls and I got our hair cut. Mine doesn't look much like the picture anymore because I style it differently, but that is the cut and length.

We saw many bridges on the way down to VA. Some of the bridges were very cool design. Also, the last bridge we went on lasted for a long time and alternated between a bridge and a tunnel.

We saw many ships as we got to VA.
This is our apartment in VA. We are on the top floor and have a patio. The kids and I like to go and have lunch on the patio. The next pic is our living room.

J. had a birthday our first week here. We all had a good time celebrating.
Our first week here we went into the pool every week day. We loved it! On the first day I didn't put sunscreen on my back and it fried! I did have it on my face and that only got red. It was totally red and still now, more than a week later, it feels weird. For a while it felt like a leather purse, and then it turned to feel like sandpaper. Yuck. Now it is only red and a little weird feeling.
The kids had sunscreen on, but still got red. Now I know the importance of reapplying it often! Here I need to do it every hour.
Most days it is much warmer than home, but we hardly notice as we have central air, which we LOVE!!!!
This week I have taken the kids to the theater offered by the apt. community. You just take over a DVD and enjoy!
We did get to see Aunt Anne and Uncle John this last weekend and that was totally awesome! We went to their place first and then went out for pizza. We had a great time, but the restaurant needed a new air conditioner as their's broke and it was HOT in there!
I'll miss the central air when I'm back in NY!
