My Boy

So within the last month, my boy has been so sick. He has had bronchitis, sinusitus, asthma and other problems. We took him to an allergist and after several hours and 17 needles, he has 6 allergies. Now we are working on controlling his environment to the extent that we can.

This morning I took him to the Dr. He now has pink eye in both eyes and ear infections in both ears!

Good thing he's tough!

TOFW

This last weekend, I went to Time Out For Women (TOFW). It was A M A Z I N G !!! I loved it. It was very uplifting and inspiring. I have many photos to post, but I need to feed my family and help J. with his homework (due tomorrow!!)

I would like to say that I have the most awesome husband. He is the one who encouraged me to go, and also took a half day off work so that I could get there on time. He's the best! He's also sick now. :(

Just a catch up

So much has happened since we came back. First, we were only home for 2 days when we went to the other side of the state for some parties! There was a 70th wedding anniversary celebration for my awesome grandparents. Did I mention 70 years!! Totally wonderful! That was great. The next day was a baby shower for my sister. That turned out very well and I got to speak to some people that I haven't seen for years.

After we came back (which is a totally different story), we had to get the kids ready for school. I didn't have everything they needed, so out to the stores we went.

They started school on Thursday the 4th. S. came home from school with a fever and missed school on Friday. I did take her to the Dr. as my family was arriving that night and I wanted to make sure that she wasn't contagious. She was fine, and they came. S. was baptized on Saturday and it was lovely!

On Monday all kids went to school. That night J. woke up with a croupy cough. Wayne and I were up a bunch with him. He missed school Tues. through Thursday. (S. was out also another day that week.)

So Friday was my first day home with no husband (earlier he was on vacation) and no children. I spent this time in the very quiet home cleaning (while on the phone with Wendy). Then Wendy and Jocelyn came over in the afternoon and we reupholstered Wendy's kitchen chairs (a pic is on Wendy's blog). That was the first time that I had done this. The first one took the longest, of course. After that they went rather quickly.

So, if you haven't heard from me too much lately, it's because I've been either running with errands and appointments, or home with sick kids. I would say that soon things should be calming down, but I've seen my calendar, and it probably won't for a couple of weeks and after that I still expect to be busy - life just seems to go that way! :)

I still love to hear from all of you though!!
